Dear Editor,
The reason I’m writing is to say, “Shame on You,” to the post office officer here in Nederland. The exercise of position is having repercussions all over the Peak to Peak area. The phrase, “Take it or leave it” is not in the vocabulary of management--at least, of GOOD management!
We who receive our mail at the local post offices are not amused or sympathetic in the least with the excuse, “I was doing what I was told to do.” Historically, that translates to, “I was only following orders.” Where has the world heard that, before?
Causing postmasters at, at least, two post offices up here in the Peak to Peak area to leave their jobs is inexcusable. Shame on you!
Retract that officious, “Take it or leave it” and bring back our trusted public servants. Now!
