Gratitude.

As we celebrate the reasons for Thanksgiving, touching the hearts of our families, friends, and even folks we don’t know, we reframe the entire holiday season that surrounds it.

The point of it all is giving and thinking of others. We at NAS are most grateful to those who contribute time and funds to our efforts to enhance mountain living, not just for older adults, but for everyone.

Our upcoming Holiday Mountain Market on December 5 and 6 is an enormous gift we bring to the community each year. It brings together hundreds of people at the biggest holiday party in the mountains – neighbors who admit they see each other far too rarely. The event pumps tens of thousands of dollars into the local microbusiness economy and supports nonprofits - thanks to you, who save up your gift buying for this occasion.

Recently, many of our active seniors have suffered health setbacks or are taking care of a spouse in medical need. We are unable to volunteer all of the hours it takes to host an event of this magnitude. For this hugely popular community event, we are asking for your help.

Can you offer us a few hours of your time approaching and during the next weekend? We have dozens of short time slots to fill with easy, friendly service tasks, weekdays through Sunday. We know this is a busy season for everyone and we would be most grateful if you could help in any way. Please call us at 303-258-0799 and leave a message or email us at NederlandAreaSeniors@gmail.com.

Blessings to all of your loved ones this holiday season!
