NEDERLAND - To provide additional travel options between Nederland and Boulder, the Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting Department has contracted with Via Mobility Services (https://viacolorado.org/) to operate one additional round-trip bus in the morning and one additional round-trip in the afternoon on weekdays starting Monday, December 2, 2024, to Friday, January 17, 2025.
The “Boulder Canyon Extra” bus service is free to ride, supplements RTD’s NB bus route (https://app.rtd-denver.com/route/NB/schedule?serviceType=3&direction=Eastbound&branch=), and runs Monday through Friday with the daily schedule shown below (excluding holidays on Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1, 2025).
This temporary extra bus service fills the current NB route time gaps and improves connections to schools and other important destinations in Nederland and Boulder. We hope that the Boulder Canyon Extra meets the needs of the community until the time RTD is able to amend the NB schedule in 2025.

Westbound: leave Downtown Boulder Station Gate 4 at 6:45 a.m., arrive Nederland Middle - Senior High School 7:25 a.m.
Eastbound: Leave Nederland Middle - Senior High School at 7:30 a.m., arriving at Downtown Boulder Station at Gate 4 8:10 a.m.
Westbound: Leave Downtown Boulder Station Gate 4 at 4:40 p.m., arrive Nederland Middle -Senior High School 5:20 p.m.
Eastbound: Leave Nederland Middle - Senior High School 5:25 p.m., arrive Downtown Boulder Station Gate 4 6:05 p.m.
