Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County. Roy's is for sale
The sign on the outside of Roy's Last Shot is a bad sign. It says the business is for sale. Roy and Barbara Stewart say they are tired, that they work seven days a week and it is time for a change. They say it has been difficult to get enough help to allow them to have a day off now and then.
When asked what would happen to Roy's shot glass collection, Barbara said that it stay with the business. The Stewarts have been generous restaurant owners, hosting benefits and parties and every once in a while putting on a free feed to show their customer appreciation.
Barbara says that the possibility of selling the business is probably a couple years away from now but it doesn't hurt to get prospective buyers interested.
