Elisabeth Grove, Peak to Peak. Brothers Jon and Dave Ridnell share a long musical history going back to the early 1980s. Between the two of them they have written hundreds of original songs, inspired by blues, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and bossa nova, and performed thousands of shows across the United States and internationally. With Jon based in Nederland, Colorado and Dave in the San Francisco Bay Area, they remain mutual influences on each other.  Ridnell Brothers reunite in August for a string of shows in Nederland and Boulder, Colorado and their first joint recording session.

Jon has been a staple on the Nederland music scene for years..  He performs on average 200 shows a year playing originals, jazz, bluegrass, and funk. He has worked with renown artists such as Henry Butler, Fred Wesley, Dave Jonnston of Yonder Mountain String Band and Daryl Anger. He currently performs in New Family Dog with his bassist son Miles. Their latest release Cherish  is Jon’ 15th to date and features bluegrass legend Sally Van Meter and jazz pianist Art Lande.

Dave recently released the album Sunny Day, the debut of Coelho & Ridnell, his musical partnership with Brazilan Chico Coelho. It has just been released by an independent label in Japan, where they are to tour in late October including at the famous Live Magic Festival.

Saturday, August 17, 12 p.m. - The Train Cars Coffee and Yogurt Company, Nederland.
