Rudy, I definitely don't want to get into a flame war regarding the First Amendment and I certainly apologize if you felt insulted by what I said.
I do feel it's inappropriate to wear overtly political attire in a neutral deliberative space like the County Courthouse. When I worked for the US Senate in DC it was a given that you didn't wear partisan attire in government buildings. In my mind it’s as much a matter of courtesy as anything else.
