Lisa Ezra, Nederland. No one in attendance will soon forget the love that surrounded the Caribou Room last Thursday eve as a swarm of local musicians gathered to pay tribute to one of their own, Jeff Austin.
Only 45 years old, Austin left this world suddenly on June 24, 2019, and many of his compatriots and fans are still trying to come to terms with the loss. The Caribou Room was host to the cathartic transformation of grief through music, and the Austin family the beneficiaries of a sizeable sum raised by the event.
