Dear Editor,
I would like to say thanks to the Director of the NFPD for his elucidating comments around the suspension of Chief Dirr.
I was shocked and dismayed after reading the article on the Chief’s suspension. My first reaction was what could have happened that they are leaving our community vulnerable during high fire season with fires all around the state and smoke so bad some folks have had to stay inside? I’m a long time Ned resident and have always known the Chief to serve this community in a way that I know will keep us safe and protected.
My anxiety has been through the roof with active fires all around our state, since Chief Dirr was suspended. I demand he be reinstated.
