It is hard to counter the man in the White House with the Bully Pulpit spewing distractions and lies.

It has become a truism that Biden was too old, and just couldn't keep up with issues.

Let’s take a deeper look at what Biden and the Democrats actually accomplished in their four years. This is a partial list from Whitehouse.gov and Daily Kos.

During Biden, the economy grew by 3%, creating more manufacturing jobs in 2022 than in any single year in nearly 30 years, and creating nearly 11 million jobs from 2021 to 2024, with near record low unemployment for Hispanics and African Americans. 

They created incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act that spurred $300 billion in manufacturing investments. They increased funding to the IRS to enable audits of high-income taxpayers, resulting in recovery of over $160 million of back taxes. Dems paid for expansion of high-speed internet through the Affordable Connectivity Program, connecting rural communities.

As for healthcare, during Biden’s tenure, the US had the highest rate of insured Americans in history at 92%.  Biden and the Dems also passed historic improvements in veterans’ health care. They provided $37 billion for senior and disability services.  

As for climate, Biden rejoined the Paris Agreement to combat climate change, signed over 100 Executive Orders to develop clean energy, protect American’s lands and waterways, reduce pollution and stimulate development of clean energy. They supported wind energy and passed policies to reduce methane gas and other pollutants that accelerate global warming.

Biden signed an Executive Order to protect reproductive rights. They managed the COVID-19 spread and helped get 79% of American adults vaccinated at no cost.

Through the Infrastructure and Stimulus bill, they provided $1.9 trillion for shovel-ready projects to improve, repair, and build water delivery systems, public transportation, high-speed internet, bridges, roads, and railways.

Biden signed the Violence Against Women Act as well as an Executive Order to address missing and murdered indigenous people. Biden pardoned thousands of people convicted of simple possession of marijuana.

They appointed the most diverse judicial appointments in history including 66% women and 65% people of color. They strengthened protection for people with disabilities. They passed bi-partisan legislation to protect same sex and interracial marriage. Biden signed Executive Orders to reform criminal justice.

The contrast is striking between the corruption and self-dealing of the present administration and that of Biden and Obama.

The midterms can’t come soon enough. It’s important that you are registered and that you vote, so that WE THE PEOPLE can be represented by normal people who are good at getting things done and clip the wings of this wannabe autocrat and his rich buddies.
