Karen Gerrity, Nederland Town Administrator. Nederland was awarded $1.5 million for a Transportation Improvement Project which consists of a multi-modal sidewalk from the RTD Park-n-Ride to the Visitor Center as well as on Jefferson Street. This project also includes electric charging stations and bike racks. The Nederland Downtown Development is providing financial support for improvements to Jefferson Street and the Visitor Center Parking Lot.
At a public meeting held in August of this year, the Board of Trustees approved a proposal from staff and on-call engineers JVA to design the improvements for this project. The public is invited to attend one or more of the upcoming public meetings when the design is presented to the various Town boards and commissions. The first two public virtual meetings will be held this month as follows:
Sustainability Advisory Board – November 19, 2020, 5 – 7 p.m.
Parks Recreation Open Space Advisory Board - November 19, 2020, 7 – 9 p.m.
Meeting agendas and packets with links to the virtual meeting can be found and on the Town Hall Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/NederlandTownHall and on the Town’s website www.nederlandco.org.
