“Some Words for the Week”
All I need to remember
as I grow older
into fog and fading days
is us together in my car
driving home over dirt roads
from that bluegrass show
the windows down
letting in the summer night
you pressed against me
the stars a blur across the sky
messy guitar on the radio
racing home
so we could kiss in the couch
