Third Eye

Through my third eye

I saw

a liquid flow

beneath the world

it moved in darkness

but was made of light

Zen Garden

 In my heart

I designed a garden

I tilled and toiled

laughed and cried

it also exists in the ether

of my mind

everything in it

is lush

and quiet

 The Worm

The worm stealthily wiggled

into my consciousness

soon I had bad thoughts

they grew into false beliefs

and then the worm

took over my identity

it said I was not worthy

and would fail at all my dreams

I created a hole in the top of my head

I pulled the worm out

and gently placed it

on the ground

Flow

I flow

between the lines

in and out

amongst the monoliths

the statues

the flesh and bones and blood

of others

who project their shadows

onto me

I flow

Beneath the Wildwood Tree

Beneath the wildwood tree, I sat

my mind wandering with the wind

when a tarnished bird lit on a branch

and trilled a melody

all of the other birds who shone

with colors from the sun

could not match his lovely song

he set my heart aflame

as I listened to him sing

and he left me ‘neath the wildwood tree

with the flutter of a wing
