What a rotten day that turned out to be
I still can't believe he’d leave me so easily
He just got all my things, threw 'em into a pile
Then he loaded me in his car and said after a while
He'd done this before, but this time he didn't cry
That's why I'm sittin' in my kennel, starin' down the hall
Wondering if he'll come back this time, I don't know
After he packed, when he looked back
There were no tears in his eyes, and that's got me worried
