Family Movie Matinee: The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants: Bring the kids for free popcorn and a movie as we watch a family-friendly film in the meeting room. Rated PG. Run time: 1 hour, 28 minutes. 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Gilpin County Public Library, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Saturday, March 7

Caucus and Assembly: Boulder County. Democratic Party Mountain-Area Caucus.  If you are a registered Democrat, this is your opportunity to have your voice and your vote heard. The caucus is the first step in this most important election year where we vote on neighbors to be delegates to the County Assembly and beyond to help determine which local, state, and federal candidates will end up on the primary ballot. The caucus location for mountain precincts 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, and 907 will be at the Nederland Middle-Senior High School. You can check your precinct and caucus location and get information at bcdp.co/caucus2026.11:30 a.m., Nederland Middle-Senior High School, 597 County Road 130, Nederland. 

Caucus & Assembly: Gilpin County: Hear from County, State and Congressional candidates, elect two Precinct Organizers for each precinct, sign up to be an election judge and elect delegates to State and District Assemblies. In order to participate, you must be registered to vote in Gilpin County as a Democrat as of February 13, 2026. All are encouraged to check your voter registration. Other members of the public may attend but may not participate in dialogue or voting. Check in starts at 12:15 p.m. 1 to 5 p.m., Gilpin County Schools Auditorium, 10595 Highway 119, Black Hawk. 

Leprechaun Trap Building: Drop by for a free and fun Leprechaun trap building session and put your engineering skills to the test using recyclables and other materials! Grades K-5 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nederland Community Library, 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.

5th Annual Lucky Lyons Fun Run: Join us for the 5th Annual Lucky Lyons Fun Run in Bohn Park! Put on your greenest running gear and join the 5K or 10K races on Lyons’s beautiful path system. Nederland Candidates Forum Meet and Greet: Meet your BOT and Mayoral candidates in 5-minute introductions by each of the 5 candidates followed by a 30-minute question and answer period answering questions submitted by email. Then learn more as candidates chat with the public. Thursday, March 12

The Gold Hill School Presents: Scoobydoo and the Magical Mystery Machine Tour! A Gold Hill School original. Come see Scoobydoo and the gang solve a mystery right here in Gold Hill, featuring the music of The Beatles. Free! Friday, March 13 

Whiskey Tasting: Raise a glass and bring your friends for an evening of good whisky with McShan Walker from The Whiskey Vault at the Stanley Hotel as our guide as we explore a curated lineup of whiskeys from various distilleries and learn about their history and how they are made. We’ll also hear from Amanda Engelhorn of Spirit Hound Distillers about the Whiskey Wenches Spirits Society, a lively group of women with a shared love of whiskey and gin. 6 to 8 p.m., 14863 Highway 7, Allenspark.

Pi Day Pie Bake Off: Celebrate Pi day with Nederland's favorite pie contest. Bring your baking skills and win awards in categories such as: Sweet, Savory, Dietary Restricted, and Youth.
