Peak to Peak
From firework shows to parades, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on the 4th of July in the Peak to Peak region. July 4, 1776, marks the day the Declaration of Independence was adopted, and the American Colonies announced their separation from Great Britain. Since then, the 4th of July has become a symbol of liberty, unity, American spirit, and celebration. Happy 4th of July Colorado! Let the festivities begin!
Allenspark
The Allenspark parade starts at noon and the Railroad Ramblers play from 10 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. and another set after the parade
Boulder County
Folsom Field’s 4th of July Spectacular- gates open at 7 p.m., live music by School of Rock, The Custom Shop Band and Funkiphino Night Sky Drone Show at 9:35 p.m.
Coal Creek Canyon
CCCIA Hall- 31528 Highway 72- Golden, CO
Parade: March, ride, or walk at 10 a.m. Awards will be given for creativity, music, best vehicle, best youth entry, best bribe, and most conductive to the theme.
Pancake Breakfast: 7-10 a.m.- all proceeds benefit the CCCIA Scholarship Fund
Vendor Booths: 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Lunch and Beer Garden: 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Live Music and Silent Auction: Noon - 2 p.m.
Games and Activities: 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Idaho Springs
The 4th of July Town Party starts at 10:45 a.m. at Miner Street Market.
Music Events run from 11 a.m. to 8: 30 p.m.
Additional activities include Arts and Vendors, Kids activities (Ax throwing, Live art, Bounce House). As well as Square dancing, Street performers, Chalk art, Gold planning, Face painting and a character artist.
Jamestown
Live music and pancake breakfast in Elysian Park from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. Parade starts in park and goes down to the lower big park for more live music, food trucks, adult pie contest and kids’ baking contest, artist booths, and kid games
Wood splitting contest from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
T-shirts for sale, raffle drawings for prizes
Proceeds benefit JVFD (Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department)
Lyons
4th of July Barbecue from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Bohn Park (199 2nd Avenue)
Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish
Nederland
Nederland’s Annual Independence Day Parade
Community Potluck afterwards at Chipeta Park
The Barker Brass Band will start playing on Snyder Street at 11:30 a.m., the parade starts at Noon.
Route will run from the starting area by Teens Inc. through E 1st Street, up Snyder, and then through E 3rd street.
Community Potluck at Chipeta Park from 1:30 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a dish to share.
There will also be field games and tie-dying available.
