Every week you either get your newspaper in the mailbox, in your email, or you choose to go out and buy a copy. What makes you make the choice to read what we do, week after week?
These are a few of the questions you can answer in our “Everybody’s Reading It” survey. We put this out in the community quarterly, to gauge what we are doing right (or wrong) and get your input to make sure we are creating publications you want to engage with.

Other than our latest survey, it’s been an incredibly busy year for us here. We started a new publication, the Caribou Current. You can find our February issue here: https://www.themtnear.com/stories/thursday-february-5-2026,81239 and today you can also find our March issue on our new website here: https://www.cariboucurrent.com/. The Caribou Current is a supplemental publication to The Mountain-Ear, focused on music and culture in the Peak to Peak and Foothills.
We’re also hard at work on our Body Mind Spirit guide. This is a yearly guide focused on health and wellness in the region. We have just a few things to wrap up before we send this one to press and get it on the stands. We still have a few ad spots available. We will print 15,000 BMS guides this year. As well, we are starting work on our Visitor’s Guide soon.
