Peak Perspectives: Schools are back in session

Posted

This is a bit of an off week for me. There were not many local government meetings this week, so the government coverage is simply stuff that happened in the last month that needed expanded on.

And school has started, so you will start to see a lot more stories that include our local kids and what they are up to!

I’m spending a bit of downtime this week and going to a special event with three of my kids, which is so exciting to me. Otherwise I will be out and about all weekend meeting with people to discuss what you want to see in your newspaper and what you’d like us to amp up or wind down.

I am working with the Weekly Register-Call to bring you the Gilpin County Candidates forum on September 24. You’ll start to see more information about that soon.

And, as always, a quick plug about our online subscriptions. Online subscriptions are currently just $50 per year. That’s less than $1 per week. Subscribe online here: https://www.themtnear.com/ register/ summer- special-1-year-online-for-40/.

And, if you are already a print to The Mountain-Ear, email me and I will get you set up for an online subscription (free for current subscribers). If you’re not a subscriber, I’ll get you set up for a FREE 30 day trial. The Mountain-Ear is working hard to get you your news. And, we don’t want you to miss a thing!
