Peak Perspectives: Recognizing excellence

Posted

Another whirlwind week and this paper is just full of news. This week, I want to take a moment to recognize some of our incredible staff. I’m going to simply share a list of people that contribute, that make it possible every week (or month) to make this entire process happen. As we move through August and recognize the accomplishments we have had this year, we are also planning everything we want to focus on next year (and more).

THANK YOU, each of you, for everything you do to make the newspaper, website, podcast, contests, Studio Tour and Taste of the Peaks happen. You ARE The Mountain-Ear.

The Mountain-Ear is made up of 48 contributors per month. Each staff member is one spoke in a very large wheel. Without one spoke, the wheel does not turn effectively. We welcome community journalists and homegrown journalism.

That said, right now we’re hiring. We are looking to hire a senior intern from Chinook and Gilpin schools. If you are a high school senior looking for a paid intern position, email info@themountainear.com for more info. We’re also hiring a college intern to take on some of the projects our high schoolers can’t, simply because of school schedules.

Our Studio Tour is closed to artists at this time, but you can still be a sponsor. We’d love to have you participate. For more information, check out https:// www.themtnear.com/peak-to-peakstudio tour-2023/.
