Peak Perspectives: New office open for business

Posted

Last week we celebrated the opening of our new office in Nederland. The office is located at 98 W. 1st Street and our Central City location is 430 Lawrence Street. Our new office hours are coming together as we figure out who will be where on specific days of the week. In the meantime, we know we will have hours Monday through Friday by appointment in Central City. And Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in Nederland.

In the last few weeks, we have hired two amazing ad salespeople and plan to have regular hours in both locations with meeting times for both of them. Please welcome Joan Isaacs and Bethany Haas to our staff. We will have new staff profiles each week, including this week in print and online.

It’s strange transitioning back into working at a physical location with actual hours, when we have been meeting by appointment for so long (we are thankful we have been able to use our little office spaces at will before now). And we’ve been able to work at any time of day, while we now want regular times to be available for our readers, subscribers and advertisers. So, we’re on it and making the needed changes to our schedules to make sure we are here, physically, for you. In both offices.

Right now we are almost fully staffed for the first time in over a decade. We are still looking to hire a senior intern from Chinook and Gilpin schools. If you are a high school senior looking for a paid position, email info@themountainear.com for more info.

Our Studio Tour is closed to artists at this time, but you can still be a sponsor. We’d love to have you participate. For more information, check out https://www.themtnear.com/peak-to-peak-studiotour 2023/

Our Everybody’s Listening podcast is shared online every Monday. The latest is right here: https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/1583656.rss.

This week, we have a new business story about the Ride-or-Dye in Nederland. These are all stories that stemmed out of the last three years of Covid coverage when we decided to make sure every business story of the region was told. We covered Nederland and Gilpin through our Keep it Local series (funded through ARPA). And we covered northwest Boulder County and businesses of the canyons through our Rebuilding Business of the Peak to Peak series (partially funded through #newsCOneeds, the Local News Fund and other small grants). Did you know, you can submit your business profile (FREE) here: https://www.themtnear.com/business-short-takes/.

Don’t forget to check out all of our event calendars, from local library events to community events, to government meetings, self-help meetings, music of the entire Peak to Peak, senior luncheons, what’s happening at our local Rec center and more! Now, you’ll be able to find more local events, government meetings, self-help meetings, and more. Stick with us, we’ll let you know everywhere you need to be and what you’ll want to see. And it’s also all online on our online calendar. Submit your event here: https:// www.themtnear.com/events-submission/
