For the last several months, my son and I have been picking up and delivering your papers. I pick them up in Boulder, bring them to Nederland and prepare them for the post office. During this time, I have had help from my husband Doug Armitage, and my friends Kellie Shankey and Rachel Kelley. They help label and get the papers into postal totes. Last week I had help from our new friend Natalie Duplessy. Then I deliver them to the post office.
It doesn’t end there.
The papers are then divided up and my son Hayden Hardt-Zeman delivers most of Nederland and Gilpin County. Most of that happens between Wednedsay and Thursday.
Hayden and I also deliver Ward, Allenspark, Fenrcliff, Gold Hill and Jamestown. Sometimes my daughter Allison Hardt-Zeman and her friend Zahara Craig help with the north route. That normally happens on Friday or Saturday.
When I say the paper is family owned and operated, I mean it. It is operated by our entire family. It is operated by our friends and neighbors. The people that make it happen are part of our newspaper family. We are one big group, making it happen every week for you. And for that, I am thankful!
