Peak Perspectives: Community

Posted

The Mountain-Ear wants to get YOUR information out to the entire community!

To share information about upcoming events, please submit your event info to info@themountainear.com at least 2 weeks prior to events. You can submit a flier, which we can share online. Or a small press release, which we can fit in the paper.

Our deadline is Friday for the following week. If you have an event on Saturday, September 24, you would want to submit by THIS Friday, September 9. Then it would be in the paper on September 15, which would give people time to make plans to participate in an event.

A flier (which is a paid ad) could be in the paper on September 15 and September 22. That would also be posted on social media to the pages we belong to (there are many). We have the lowest ad rates in the entire region and offer discounts for nonprofits and schools too!

To have an event covered, send in a request at least 2 weeks prior to an event. Then we can assign a reporter. IF you have a parent, teacher or community member who can cover events, even better! We LOVE community journalism coverage from members of the school, local organizations, and even from Town or County government. It helps us stay connected to every aspect of the Peak to Peak region. And, we pay for this coverage.

We’d love to attend a meeting of your school or organization. Please send us info on the time and place of the next few meetings.

Did you know online subscriptions are currently just $50 per year. That’s less than $1 per week. Print subscriptions range from $70 to $100 per year (in-state local to out-of-state). You can subscribe online here: https://www.themtnear.com/ register/summer-special-1-year-onlinefor 40/.
