Alright, it’s been a beautiful week floating on the awards ceremony and the general recognition from many in our community for the hard work we do every week as a TEAM. But this week, it’s back to business. So here we go!
There are a lot of things going on right now. The first, this weekend, there are at least a dozen events happening on Saturday. Literally. Here are a few I know I will be at. I’ll be at our booth hosting a News & Brews (come talk to me about ANYTHING newspaper) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holistic Homestead Farmers Market. I’m also gonna try to get three boxes of papers to the shred event. I’m gonna try to make it to Big Dave’s Memorial for a bit.
Others on the TEAM will be covering the 75th Anniversary at Colorado Mountain Ranch, Coal Creek Canyon cleanup, Buck for the Badge, Shelby Allen Memorial Volleyball Tournament, High Country Auxiliary Yard Sale, and more.
Beyond just one weekend of event coverage, we have at least a dozen other stories that are school, government, features and more. That’s the joy of having a large TEAM and working hard to be at everything.
I wanted to get in a quick word about the upcoming Studio Tour. The tour winds across the Peak to Peak from Allenspark to Central City, with all of the communities in between. The Studio Tour Guide can be found here on our website: https://www.themtnear.com/pageview/viewer/studiotour2024 as well as on stands across the region.
Another upcoming event I want to mention is the Gilpin County Commissioner Candidate Forum. This event is planned for Friday, September 20, 2024, at 6 p.m. and we will have more information about it in next week’s edition, as well as online.
Anyways, I’ll wrap up with a Thank you. This paper wouldn’t be here for you all to read, without the incredible people who make it happen every week. I’m thankful for our amazing TEAM. Every day.
Thank you to our advertisers and subscribers. We do this for you. Literally. If you’re not an advertiser or subscriber, ask us how to change that. That’s over 5,000 weekly newspaper readers and even more online. Our guides reach over 75,000 readers combined. That’s right. We reach more people in the Peak to Peak region.. every single week..and year..than any other print publication in the region. Hands down.
