Peak Perspectives: Anxiety

Posted

This morning I woke up with a bit of anxiety about the design of the paper. I spent until just after 1 a.m. working hard on making it all make sense. And I woke back up at 7 a.m. to wrap it up. Most weeks don’t go quite that late, but this week there is a lot of news in here. And a ton of photos. And so many stories of our greater Peak to Peak region. It’s important to me that it looks right, reads right, conveys the full story of whatever we are covering and shares what we have going on around us. I hope I have achieved that.

The Mountain-Ear wants to get YOUR information out to the entire community! To share information about upcoming events, please submit your event to info@themountainear.com. You can submit a flier, which we can share in print and online. We have the lowest ad rates in the entire region and offer discounts for nonprofits and schools too! Or submit a small press release, which we can fit in the paper and online.

To have an event covered, send in a request so we can assign a reporter. IF you have a parent, teacher or community member who can cover events, even better! We LOVE community journalism coverage from members of the school, local organizations, and even from Town or County government. It helps us stay connected to every aspect of the Peak to Peak region. And, we pay for this coverage. We currently have several paid positions open at The Mountain-Ear (see our classified ad on page 38).

We’d love to attend a meeting of your school or organization. Please send us info on the time and place of the next few meetings.
