Patrice LeBlanc is one of the most active and creative performing artists in the Gilpin County area. A resident of Central City, Patrice can be found performing as a jazz pianist and singer. She is also a fantastic composer.
Patrice has composed the very popular and successful Call Me Ned musical. This was written with Ed Schoenradt specifically for Nederland’s Frozen Dead Guy Days. It is a musical comedy that makes us wonder if Grandpa Bredo did come back to Nederland.
Patrice teaches piano, singing, and music theory in the area. She was the Music Director for the Peak To Peak Players’ production of Shrek. Patrice is the Managing Director of the Belvedere Players. She is a community activist and the Secretary of the Belvedere Foundation.
Her performance background took shape with completion of a BFA degree at Loretto Heights College and a MA degree at Regis University.
For The Mountain-Ear she covers the Central City City Council meetings as well as writing features on the arts and local businesses. She has been working for the paper since 2018.
Patrice is dedicated to her community through musical endeavors as well as through her work with The Mountain-Ear.
