The Nederland High School Varsity Volleyball team has ended their season for the year and the coaches and players could not be more pleased with the results. Kayla Knapp, head coach for the varsity team, said, “Both our junior varsity and varsity teams have worked incredibly hard this season. They have grown individually and really gained strength as a cohesive team.”

Head coach for the junior varsity team and assistant coach for the varsity team Nicole Zotti said, “We finished up the varsity season 7-12 this year. This is the best record Ned volleyball has had in almost fifteen years!”

Zotti adds, “I am so proud of all the player’s hard work and dedication.”

It is clear to see that the players have respect for each other and enjoy the game of volleyball. There is great enthusiasm as they encourage one another and work together for every point.

Knapp says that she cannot wait to watch everyone grow even more next season. Of course, the seniors will not be back next season. It is always a bittersweet moment during the last home game when the seniors are recognized with their families. Knapp says, “Our seniors Annabel Ivey and Lucy Schalz will be greatly missed next season, and we wish them luck on their next adventures!”
