Dear Editor,
Just a reminder that overnight closures of US 6 in Clear Creek Canyon started Sunday, August 6. The highway will be closed from Highway 119 to the Highway 58/Highway 93 intersection Sunday through Thursday nights next week starting at 9 p.m. each night. The highway will reopen at 6 a.m. the following morning.
These closures will continue Sunday through Thursday nights throughout the fall for construction of the Huntsman Gulch segment of the Peaks to Plains trail just west of Tunnel 1. There will be no closures Sunday, September 3 and Monday, September 4 for the Labor Day weekend.
