Dear Editor,
From our own observations and from talking with trusted town board members who have worked closely with some of the candidates, we have come up with the following: Billy Giblin tops our list. We respect him as a calm, knowledgeable leader, with a solid vision for the future of Nederland. We appreciate his work to make the BOT more open and honest and to make decisions that consider the needs of everyone. We strongly support Billy for mayor.
We care about preserving Ned’s unique mountain character, and we’re suspicious of Billy’s opponent, Tom Mahowald, who has voiced support for tearing down First Street and building Mitchell’s monstrous hotel.
We also strongly favor Luke Miller and Aaron Tye. They work well with people, and their concerns and values speak well for them.
Arden and Betsy Buck
