Cancer is only one example of a disease that can be affected by what you eat, drink and your lifestyle habits. Heart disease, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes Type 2, Syndrome X, Metabolic Syndrome, etc., all are very much associated with food, lifestyle and environment.
Almost all dis-ease states are not a result of bad genes, bad germs or bad luck. It is simply bad habits.
Many people feel if they are not “in pain or sick” then nothing must be wrong. Yet, most people are finding that they are not performing as well as they used to, are forgetting things here and there, lose their taste for meat as their digestive system begins to malfunction, lose their hair, can’t sleep well and chalk it all up to aging.
Know This Fact: “Aging is simply an excuse for your dysfunction.”
I know, you don’t really want to hear that, but it helps to understand that your dysfunction is actually related to a number of things, likely including some level of toxicity, nutritional deficiencies, negative thinking patterns and not-so-supportive lifestyle habits. The great thing is that all of these things can be corrected and/or improved, and all of my patients find themselves living happier, healthier, more productive lives, and you can too. I am sure if you look around you will find that there are plenty of humans who are getting older yet having the time of their lives.
The question really is “Why are you waiting?” You have the absolute right to experience your life as getting better every day. Setting goals, taking action, being proactive in your lifestyle, and allowing yourself to have a grander version of yourself is the ticket to living a life you love.
First, know that you’ve not been “left out,” you’re not out on a limb by yourself, there’s nothing wrong with you, you’re not the only one having this experience, and you’re not “broken.” You’re just like the rest of us and have the ability to heal. Everyone has this ability, and it’s easily seen when someone breaks an arm. Yes, maybe it needs to be set, but the body heals all by itself. No doctor heals. YOU heal.
A man in the hospital obviously had something terribly wrong, as he slowly wheeled around his IV, slumped over, challenged breathing, incredibly swollen, red feet and ankles, appearing he may crack if moved the wrong way. He sat down and proceeded to order a large Coca-Cola, a gooey cheeseburger on a white bun, French fries and an ice cream for dessert. If you saw this what would you think?
Do you think if he chose to eat a vegetable soup, maybe a salad, and drink a cup of tea that it may help him improve his situation? I am sure it would have helped in some way. We all know that sodas, white bread, fried foods and sugar are the bane of our existence. What do you think would be different in this man’s life if he’d begun making these types of changes earlier in his life? Maybe he wouldn’t even be in the hospital!
Commit to yourself and make it happen! Give yourself a boost up right now and choose to allow yourself to receive the guidance, intuition and direction you need so that you can enjoy your body and your life. You have this very moment to make it count, to really let it in, to choose how you show up in life and allow yourself to feel and Be. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is not guaranteed, so you might as well take advantage of this moment and commit to a change. You have everything inside of you that you need to live the life you desire. We just need to help you get out of your own way and give your body what it needs so it can do what it does naturally, heal.
