Local Latin dance band ONDA have been sashaying their way throughout Colorado as a prelude to their upcoming Belize tour, and with them comes no shortage of groove and every excuse to move your feet. Featuring a bright and expansive array of instrumentation, ONDA will be bringing a live performance brimming with spirit and style from every distinct angle funk, world grooves, and jazz have to offer. Taking inspiration from the likes of Santana, Ozomatli, and Cabaret Diosa, ONDA - which I’ve learned from the lovely lead Roberto Sequeria means “vibe” in Spanish - are artists who enjoy painting with many colors in their sound. They will be sporting a beautiful sonic bouquet fit for a day of dancing in summer sunlight at the old Nederland/Gilpin icon, Roy’s Last Shot.

ONDA are no stranger to these mountains, hailing from Eldora and having brought their flair to events of years past such as Ned Fest and Frozen Dead Guy Days, and are no stranger to many a local venue. Blazing a trail of Latin-grass and jams impossible to avoid dancing to. Many locals ought to remember them, and more still are bound to see them once and not forget it any time soon.
