On 11/1/18 at approximately 3 p.m., a deputy responded to 660 Eureka Street for a found wallet. The owner of the wallet was later found, and arrangements were made to have the wallet picked up.

On 11/1/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for operating an unregistered vehicle and using fictitious license plates.

On 11/2/18 at approximately 10:40 a.m., the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 300 block of Eureka Street in Central City. A deputy responded and located the unoccupied vehicle. The vehicle had substantial damage and had contacted/snapped a ballard post and an electric box. The vehicle was partially into the roadway and was also blocking a fire hydrant. The vehicle was impounded. The driver of the vehicle was contacted the next day and issued a summons.

0n 11/2/18 at approximately 4 p.m., a deputy arrested a male party on an active warrant and had him booked into the jail.

On 11/2/18 a party dropped 2 dogs off at the Sheriffs Office that were running at large. The owner was contacted, and a summons was issued.

On 11/2/18 a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle on Pine Street in Central City. A male party in the vehicle was arrested for a warrant.

On 11/2/18 at approximately 8 p.m., an officer was informed that a bonding agent was in the lobby to bond an inmate out. As part of the releasing process a warrant check was completed, and it was discovered that the inmate had another warrant for his arrest. The inmate was booked in on the new warrant and processed in accordance with policy and procedure and remained in custody.

On 11/3/18 at approximately 12:37 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of Gregory Street, in Central City. The driver of the vehicle was found to be driving under revocation, had no proof of insurance and had an open container of marijuana inside of the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons and had someone pick him and his vehicle up.

On 11/3/18 a Gilpin County deputy was provided information and the location of a male party who had an extraditable felony warrant out of Texas. The male party was contacted and located at a residence in the 90 block of Carroll Court, in Rollinsville. The warrant was confirmed, and the male party was taken into custody. He was transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 11/3/18 deputies responded to a disturbance on Bear Drive. One party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for harassment and domestic violence.

On 11/3/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Nevadaville Road. The driver was issued a summons for using fictitious license plates and not having insurance.

On 11/3/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Nevadaville Road. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for a warrant.

On 11/4/18 at approximately 12:10 a.m., deputies responded to a residential address for a shooting complaint. A male party associated with the shooting was later placed under arrest for prohibited use of weapons.

On 11/4/18 at approximately 9:51 a.m., Gilpin County Sheriffs Office received a shooting complaint near the 11500 block of Highway 119 in un-incorporated Gilpin County. A deputy responded to MM 11.5 of Highway 119 and heard shooting in the nearby woods. Two parties were contacted shooting together in the vicinity. One party was found to be a convicted felon and therefore is not allowed to possess a firearm. He admitted he had been shooting. He was taken into custody, transported to the Gilpin County Jail and charged with possession of weapons by a previous offender.

On 11/4/18 at approximately 1:39 a.m., deputies conducted a welfare check on two individuals sitting in a vehicle located at 111 Lawrence Street, Central City. An arrest was made as a result of the welfare check. On 11/4/18 a deputy took a cold phone report of a hit and run accident that occurred on a Forest Service Road.

On 11/5/18 a deputy assisted the Black Hawk Police Department on a case. A party was located and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on several charges.

On 11/5/18 a resident was issued a summons to court for dog at large after an investigation was completed. On 11/6/18 at approximately 8:10 a.m., a party came to the Gilpin County Combined Courts and was found to have an active warrant.

On 11/7/18 at approximately 9:30 a.m., a student reported a possible drug violation to a deputy at the Gilpin County School located at 10595 Highway 119 Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 11/7/18 at approximately 8 p.m., deputies heard alert tones for a disturbance in progress occurring in a vehicle traveling on Highway 119. The deputies made contact with the vehicle and conducted an investigation into the incident. A party was later arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail for false imprisonment and domestic violence.

On 11/7/18 at approximately 9:47 p.m., deputies conducted a welfare check on a male party sitting in a vehicle in the Century Casino parking garage. The male party was later placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

On 11/9/18 at approximately 1:04 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 300 Block of Lawrence Street in the incorporated City of Central City, Colorado, regarding a reported theft. Upon arrival the victim was contacted, and a case report was later completed.

On 11/9/18 at approximately 5:50 p.m., a deputy was able to locate a male party at a residential address in Gilpin County who had an active arrest warrant. The same party was later placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and transported to the Gilpin County Jail to be processed.

On 11/9/18 at approximately 10:08 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway with a vehicle that was weaving and driving carelessly. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

On 11/10/18 at approximately 1:07 a.m., a motorist was stopped for a traffic violation at Bridge Street and Main Street, Central City. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the jail where he submitted to a breath test and was then released to a sober person.

On 11/10/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for a warrant and issued a summons for driving on a restrained license. On 11/10/18 the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office received a report of a counterfeit $20 bill that was used at the Bonanza Casino in Central City. A deputy responded and met with the manager on duty (MOD). The MOD was not able to provide any suspect information. The counterfeit bill was collected as evidence and a report completed.

On 11/10/18 at approximately 10:50 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy was on foot patrol in the Century Parking garage located at 111 Lawrence Street in Central City. The deputy contacted a transient male party smoking marijuana. The suspect was released on a summons for public display and consumption of marijuana.

On 11/10/18 a deputy was dispatched to the 2400 block of the Central City Parkway on a report of motor vehicle accident versus a deer. A report was later completed.

On 11/11/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop by the Z-Stop Gas Station. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for violation of a protection order.

On 11/11/18 at approximately 1:38 p.m., a Gilpin County Deputy performed a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Gregory Street in Central City, CO. Upon contact, the driver stated he did not have a drivers license and did not have an insurance policy for the vehicle. It was also determined the license plates on the vehicle were fictitious. The driver was issued and released on a summons. He and his passenger were provided a courtesy ride to Black Hawk.

On 11/11/18 at approximately 12:38 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino, 321 Gregory Street, Central City, on a hit and run property damage accident. The accident is under investigation.

On 11/13/18 at approximately 8:43 a.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Aspen Lane, Black Hawk, CO, on the report of a cold trespass. A report was taken. On 11/13/18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in the Grand Z parking garage. During the welfare check one male party had an active warrant, and drugs were located in the vehicle. The male party was arrested, and a report was later completed.

On 11/13/18 at approximately 1:16 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to handle a cold theft report by phone. The theft may have taken place on 11/9/18 on level two of the Century Casino parking garage, located at 111 Laurence Street, Central City, CO. A report was taken.

On 11/14/18 a deputy recovered a stolen gun from a local pawn store.

On 11/14/18 at approximately 3:05 p.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z Casino, 321 Gregory Street, for an assault in progress. The suspect was arrested, placed in custody and taken to the Gilpin County Jail. The suspect was charged for robbery, 3rd degree assault of an at-risk adult.

On 11/14/18 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a male inmate was being released on a parole hold but had a Jefferson County warrant. The male inmate was booked in on the warrant without incident.

On 11/15/18 at 6:21 p.m., a motorist was stopped for speeding on Highway 46 at MM 5, unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver was found to have a cancelled license. He was cited and released.

On 11/15/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Coyote Motel parking lot. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of methamphetamine and a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Both parties were booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/16/18 at approximately 7:27 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy contacted a male party in the Grand Z parking garage located at 321 Gregory Street in Central City. The male party was found to be under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 11/16/18 at 8:18 a.m., an adult male party was taken into custody on a failure to appear warrant with a bond set in the amount of $250 cash out of Gilpin County. The subject was arrested without incident.

On 11/16/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway for speeding. The driver came back with a suspended license for not paying child support. A summons was issued to the driver.

On 11/16/18 at approximately 10:21 p.m., deputies conducted a welfare check on two parties seated in a vehicle located in the Grand Z casino parking garage. One of the parties was later found to have an active warrant and was placed under arrest.

On 11/16/18 at 11:30 p.m., a motorist was stopped for speeding on Highway 119 at Richman Street, City of Black Hawk, Gilpin County, CO. The driver was found to have a cancelled license. He was cited and released.

On 11/17/18 a Gilpin deputy stopped a vehicle near mid-county for a traffic infraction and discovered the vehicle had fictitious license plates. The driver was issued a summons. On 11/17/18 at approximately 11:57 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop at approximately MM 1 of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver of the vehicle violated the Interlock restrictions of her driver license and was issued a summons. The passenger of the vehicle had a valid driver’s license, so he relieved the driver of her position and operated the vehicle after the stop.

On 11/17/18 at approximately 2:35 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office was requested to assist the Golden Police Department on an unlawful sexual contact that occurred on a casino bus. The bus had pulled over at approximately MM 1 of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County. A deputy responded to the buss location, contacted the victim and the suspect, and detained the suspect until Golden Police arrived. Golden Police arrested the suspect and transported him back to the Golden Police Department for booking.

On 11/18/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 11/18/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 100 block of Nevada Street in Central City. The passenger inside the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody.

On 11/18/18 at approximately 8:40 p.m., a deputy was conducting an area check of a parking garage in Central City. The deputy conducted a welfare check of an occupied vehicle. The party in the vehicle was later found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.

On 11/18/18 a driver was stopped for traffic violations. The driver showed signs of intoxication and was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On 11/18/18 at approximately 10:55 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a truck and an accident involving a vehicle and owl. The driver was later found to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver was issued a summons to appear in court and a proof of service form.

On 11/19/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at Smith Hill Road. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a suspended license and the passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

On 11/19/18 at approximately 2:34 p.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Gregory Street, Central City, CO, on the report of a motor vehicle accident without injuries. A report was taken, and a summons was issued.

On 11/19/18 at 3:30 p.m., an individual was found to have two active warrants. The warrants were confirmed, and the individual was taken into custody and booked in on his warrants.

On 11/19/18 at approximately 3:56 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy attempted a traffic stop with a motorcycle near MM 5.3 of Highway 119. The motorcycle failed to stop and attempted to elude the deputy. The motorcycle drove recklessly in and out of oncoming traffic southbound on Highway 119. The motorcycle eventually pulled into the Z-Stop gas station and attempted to hide behind the dumpsters of the building. The motorcyclist was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/19/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

On 11/20/18 at approximately 3:32 p.m., a deputy working in the Gilpin County Jail received a call from patrol that there was a male party in the lobby of the Sheriffs Office with a warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the male party was escorted into the jail and booked in without incident.

On 11/20/18 at approximately 11:19 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in Central City. The driver was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and additional charges. The driver was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/21/18 at approximately 5:15 p.m., a deputy responded to a one-car abandoned accident on Central City Parkway MM 5.6, Central City, Gilpin County. The driver was later identified and cited for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, driving when cancelled and denied and no proof of insurance.

On 11/21/18 at approximately 6:50 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino, 321 Gregory Street, Central City, Gilpin County, CO for found drugs and paraphernalia. The items were picked up and taken to the Sheriffs Department to be destroyed. On 11/21/18 at approximately 8:22 a.m., an adult male was arrested without incident at 2960 Dory Hill Road in unincorporated Black Hawk of Gilpin County on a no bond warrant for contempt of court.

On 11/21/18 at approximately 9:16 a.m., a deputy responded to the Coyote Motel, located at 5312 Highway 119, Black Hawk on the report of suspicious person. A male party was transported to the hospital, and a report was taken. On 11/21/18 at approximately 10:27 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop. A female party in the vehicle was later found to have an active arrest warrant and was placed under arrest.

On 11/21/18 at approximately 10:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a casino in Central City for a courtesy ride. Upon contacting the individuals requesting the courtesy ride, the deputy believed that a male party was in violation of a restraining order. While the deputy was completing the investigation, the male party left the area. The deputy applied for a warrant for the partys arrest.

On 11/22/18 at approximately 1:55 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy contacted a male party on a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lawrence Street, in Central City. During the stop, the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The driver was issued a summons and arranged to have someone transport him and his vehicle back home.

On 11/22/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway and the driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

On 11/23/18 at 2:51 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a REDDI report in the parking garage located in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City, CO. The driver was found to be passed out at the wheel. He was arrested for DUI (fourth or subsequent offense) and jailed at the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office.

On 11/23/18 a deputy responded to the Z Stop gas station for an unknown issue. A party was found to have two protection orders. The party was taken into custody.

On 11/23/18 at approximately 6:06 a.m., a deputy located a male party at a residential address in Central City who had an outstanding arrest warrant. The same party was later placed under arrest for the same warrant.

On 11/23/18 at approximately 7:24 p.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on a party who was parked in a vehicle on the Central City Parkway. The male party was later placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and multiple offenses related to operating a motor vehicle.

On 11/24/18 dispatch aired that a male party was waving a gun at other drivers on the roadway in Black Hawk city limits. A deputy located the vehicle and the male driver was taken into custody.

On 11/24/18 a Gilpin County deputy contacted two parties during a traffic stop at approximately MM 23.5 of Highway 72 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The male driver was cited for an open container of marijuana and the female party was arrested for an extraditable warrant. The female passenger was transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident. On 11/24/18 a deputy contacted a party in the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Gilpin County, Central City, CO, who had an active warrant. The party was arrested for the warrant and a report was later completed.

On 11/24/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72 in Pinecliffe. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license. On 11/24/18 a deputy responded to the Century Casino on the report of found drugs on the casino floor. A suspect was identified and located at the Easy Street Casino. The party was arrested and transported to Gilpin Jail.

On 11/25/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver had a warrant and was taken into custody.

On 11/25/18 at approximately 9:33 a.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop at approximately MM 5.1 of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County, CO. The driver was found not to possess a valid driver’s license, did not have proof of insurance and the vehicle displayed fictitious plates. The passenger was also found to have a revoked driver’s license. The driver was issued a summons and warned not to drive the vehicle. He stated he had a tow truck in route to tow the vehicle to his residence.

On 11/25/18 at approximately noon, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near MM 6.0 on Highway 119, Black Hawk, CO. After an investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On 11/25/18 a deputy took a report of a counterfeit $100 bill.

On 11/25/18 at approximately 2:05 p.m., a Gilpin County deputy performed a traffic stop near the 500 Block of Gregory Street. The vehicle did not have a front license plate attached. Upon contact, the driver was found to have a felony warrant out of Black Hawk. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 11/25/18 at approximately 3:18 p.m., an individual was cleared through NCIC/CCIC and was found to be revoked, the revocation was confirmed through dispatch. The individual was served a proof of service and the driver’s licenses was confiscated.

On 11/25/18 deputies arrested a male party at the Gold Mountain Village Apartments for a warrant.

On 11/25/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving and impeding traffic. The driver was later arrested for investigation of driving under the influence. The party was later released to a sober party. On 11/25/18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for failing to dim their lights. The driver was found to be under restraint. A summons was issued, and a courtesy ride was given.

On 11/26/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 1000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for no proof of insurance and driving on a revoked license.

On 11/26/18 at approximately 7:55 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a criminal mischief regarding a short-term rental property. The deputy completed a case report of the incident.

On 11/26/18 deputies responded to the Central City Parkway on the report of a property damage accident. The driver was later released on a summons.

On 11/28/18 at approximately 8:27 a.m., a deputy responded to 27 Gap Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, CO, on a disturbance call. The case is still under investigation.

On 11/28/18 at approximately 11:25 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop. The deputy was informed that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest. While taking the driver into custody for the warrant, drug paraphernalia was found on the driver. A search of the vehicle revealed illicit drugs. The driver was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant and drug charges.

On 11/29/18 at 7:12 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Verdi Drive, unincorporated Gilpin County, on a welfare check. The subsequent investigation revealed concerns leading to a party being transported to the hospital on a mental health hold.

On 11/29/18 at approximately 4:55 p.m., a deputy responded to Nederland PD on the report of a cold assault which occurred in Gilpin County. A male party involved was later placed under arrest for multiple offenses.

On 11/29/18 a deputy went to a residence on Gap Road in an attempt to contact a female party with a warrant out of Boulder County. The female party resisted arrest and yelled to the deputy, “Shoot me, shoot me!” The deputy was able to arrest the female party without significant force being used. She was transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/29/18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lawrence Street in Central City. The driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine. The driver also violated his license restrictions and was in possession of methamphetamine. A passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for possession of a sizable amount of methamphetamine. Both parties were transported and booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 11/29/18 at approximately 11:27 a.m., a deputy was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Center. In the process of booking in an inmate, he discovered a warrant for his arrest that had not been previously located.

On 11/30/18 at approximately 10:31 a.m., a deputy took a report of fraud at the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office. A case report was completed.

On 11/30/18 at approximately 1:40 p.m., a party came to the Gilpin County Combined Courts and was found to have an active warrant.

On 11/30/18 at approximately 3 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Hotel on a report of found drug paraphernalia.

On 11/30/18 at approximately 10:50 p.m., a deputy was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Center and was informed by Master Control via radio that there was a bonding agent in the lobby to post bond for an inmate.
