Taylor Johnson, Nederland. Have you ever wanted to join a cooking club?
You could always just buy food prepared at a supermarket, but for some reason making your own just gives a sense of pride.
We make everything from tie-dye cupcakes to tomato soup. With ovens, blenders, and stoves, the possibilities are endless. The club is relatively new, only having met twice.
Not only do we cook, but we make new friends and have fun along the way, meeting every week on Wednesday, from 3:20 to 5:30 p.m.
Joining is free, but you must contribute ingredients, ideas, and a good attitude. The cooking club accepts and encourages a small donation, but that is not necessary.
As Guy Fieri says “Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes, and cooking. It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment, and creativity.”
