Sara Sandstrom-Kobi, Nederland. Nederland Middle and Senior High School students were recently honored with an Academic Breakfast. The awards are based on the student’s grade point average (GPA) from last school year, 2018-2019.
Middle school students with a GPA of 3.2 – 3.59 are in the Blue Club. Middle school students are in the Gold Club if they earn a GPA of 3.6 – 4.0.
At the high school level students receive letters and pins for their high academic achievements. A Letter is given to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students receive a Bar if their cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above for two years. A Star is awarded to the students who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above for three years. And the Lamp of Knowledge award is given to students who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above for four years.
