For the 2021-2022 school year Nederland Middle Senior High School (NMSHS) will have an interim principal. Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) completed a national search to fill the vacant position. A candidate was selected and then declined the position.
Mark Sibley has been appointed as the Interim Principal. Mr. Sibley was the Assistant Principal at Monarch High School for 22 years and 14 of those years was the school’s athletic director.
BVSD will continue to look for a principal for NMSHS during the upcoming school year. BVSD’s Chief Communications Officer Randy Barber says, “We want to find the right leader for Nederland Middle Senior High School to move forward and lead the school into the future.”
Barber acknowledges that there had been a lot of turnover at the principal position in Nederland schools and hopes that the next candidate is there for years to come. He says, “We want to make the best decision possible for the Nederland community and for NMSHS. Our focus is ensuring you have the right leader.”
Mr. Sibley will officially begin his year at NMSHS as interim principal in July.
