Thank you to all those who decided to throw their hat in the ring and thank you to all those residents who made their voices heard at the ballot box. The County welcomes back those who were re-elected to their positions and eagerly awaits the arrival in January of those newly elected.
The public is invited to the Swearing- In Ceremony on Tuesday, January 10 at 9 a.m. at the Old Courthouse for:
Sheriff Kevin Armstrong
Commissioner Susan Berumen
Treasurer Mary Lorenz
Clerk and Recorder Sahari
McCormick
Assessor April Nielsen
Coroner Zane Laubhan
Surveyor Corey Diekman
Gilpin County would also like to thank voters for approving the ballot measure to adopt a 2% lodging tax in unincorporated Gilpin County. The lodging tax will add to the County’s diversified revenue stream to support a number of programs including enhancing the visitor experience, access to childcare, affordable housing programs and more.
