TEENS, Inc.’s New Explorer Learning Center (NELC) staff worked through a rigorous accreditation process with Colorado Shines - the statewide rating organization. The process was extremely difficult and yet, despite unforeseen challenges, NELC was rated a Level 4 preschool: an exceptional rating that will run through September, 2024.

This is an amazing accomplishment for any preschool but even more impressive for one just over two years old and in the midst of a pandemic! The Level 4 rating is a real testament to our staff, especially Karen, Lisa and Ali who have led the preschool since its beginning. They put forth great effort for over a year to get to this point, developed a committed, strong team of professional educators and this is a testament to their talents.

The highest Colorado Shines Rating is a Level 5 yet only a handful of preschools throughout the entire state have received this rating.

While this is a great accomplishment for NELC, we will continue to strive to improve our services. Feedback from our recent survey was invaluable and we look forward to utilizing this information to improve in specific areas, as well as our work to provide more opportunities for family connections.

Parents, thank you for entrusting NELC with the important job of preparing your children for kindergarten and beyond! Thank you to the great staff at NELC who put their heart and soul into each and every day.
