Patsy McEntee has been appointed to be the new District Ranger in the Arapaho Forest’s Clear Creek Ranger District in Idaho Springs. Besides working for the USDA Forest Service, McEntee has worked for the National Park Service, Boulder County and nongovernmental entities.
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests Supervisor Monte Williams, in announcing McEntee’s appointment, said, “Patsy’s expertise in planning and partnerships will enhance our ongoing efforts on the Clear Creek Ranger District and complement the skills we have on the Forests and Grassland Leadership Team. I know she will do a great job supporting our employees and taking care of these places that mean so much to so many. Please join me in welcoming her.”
McEntee spent nine years with Boulder County Parks and Open Space Operations Division in positions related to parks, recreation, and environmental planning. During her thirteen years with the National Park Service, McEntee served both the National Park Service’s Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs and the House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee in Washington, D.C. McEntee also served as a project manager with the National Park Service’s Intermountain Region Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program.
McEntee will be leading a staff of 20 resource specialists who help manage everything from recreation to environmental planning in the Arapaho National Forest’s Clear Creek Ranger District.
