John Scarffe, Nederland. During their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 2, the Nederland Board of Trustees approved a replat of McMillen Meadows. Town Administrator Alisha Reis said the applicant, Rich Tillotson, had submitted a request for replat of McMillen Meadow Correction Plat. He wishes to replat Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, to eliminate Lot 3 and redistribute the land among the remaining lots.
This would have the effect of reducing the 10-lot subdivision to nine lots, plus the outlots for the private roadway (McMillen Way) and open space. The new replat would be known as McMillen Meadow Second Correction Plat.
The Planning Commission reviewed the application and held a public hearing on the same. No public comment was received. The Commission voted to recommend approval of the replat, with no conditions.
The McMillen Meadow Correction Plat was approved on August 12, 2004. The initial McMillen Meadow PUD was approved in 1995. The question was, did the Board wish to approve the replat of McMillen Meadow Correction Plat as proposed?
Tillotson said he built one house for his daughter on the land. It would be beneficial for the overall development to have more consistently sized lots. He had one additional request. He wanted to add ten feet to lot 9 and take it from lot 4. The actual size would go down but the lots would be more marketable.
The Board approved the replat request.
The next meeting of the Nederland Board of Trustees will be on Tuesday, September 16, at the Nederland Community Center.
