Dear Editor,
Over the years, there have been multiple attempts to build a thriving Rotary Club in Nederland. But, this time around, these folks are serious.
With the support and resources of The Boulder Valley Rotary Club behind them, the Nederland Rotary Satellite Club (NRSC) is gearing up for the upcoming years’ worth of fundraising, engagement, and supporting our mountain communities.
To kick things off, the NRSC is focusing on three critical areas: Digital Equity, Food Equity, and COVID-19 Relief. To get things off to a good start, they have secured funding of $1,500 to be distributed to Teens Inc, The Nederland Food Pantry, Nederland Area Seniors, and the Mountain Mask-Making Project.
Why Rotary? Because it is an international organization committed to solving the world’s most pressing problems. Everything from conflict resolution to clean water to education equality, Rotary Connects the World®, and it starts with local community activism and engagement.
If you are interested in learning more about how to get involved with the Nederland Rotary Satellite Club, please email nederlandrotary@gmail.com or visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NederlandRotaryClub/
