Nederland Police Reports, November 2020

On 11/1/20, the Nederland Police investigated a property damage crash in the Town of Nederland that resulted in a Municipal ticket for traffic related offenses. Both vehicles were drivable.

On 11/02/20, Nederland Police took a report of a stolen license plate from the Tungsten Village, 333 Hwy 72.

On 11/5/20, the Nederland Police investigated a cold burglary that occurred in the Town of Nederland. There are no suspects or leads to this case. The investigation is inactive.

On 11/10/20, the Nederland Police took a counter report of a crash that occurred in the Town of Nederland the previous day. No injuries reported, no tow necessary and no citations issued.

On 11/11/20, the Nederland Police was contacted about possible fraudulent driver licenses at Igadi, a marijuana dispensary. The parties who attempted to use the driver licenses left prior to police arrival. The parties were not contacted, and the driver licenses number and the name on them have no record.

On 11/14/20, the Nederland Police investigated a report of assault and domestic violence that occurred in the Town of Nederland. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation and documented this under case number 20-5045.

On 11/17/20, a Nederland officer took a report from a party on Ponderosa Drive who claimed her sign was missing from a tree at the top of her driveway after she found a potential buyer and their contractor trespassing in her home. Upon investigation, the officer learned that the sign had been seen on the ground at the top of the driveway a few days prior to it being reported missing. The officer was also told that when the reporting party told the trespassers to leave, the contractor requested he not be contacted further. The sign value is estimated at $100. End of report, case is inactivated at this time.

On 11/17/20, a Nederland officer received a Social Services referral regarding a female infant who was born on 11/8/2020. Per the hospital, the mother tested positive for TCH. Per the referral there is no report the child tested positive or has any health concerns from the THC. Case has been turned over to BCHHS.

On 11/25/20, a Nederland officer contacted a reporting party about a report she made on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She reported that there was trash in her yard, which she believed was thrown in by neighbors that reside at W. Boulder Street with whom she has had a property dispute. The reporting party showed the officer what appeared to have been a basket and pieces of fencing and a t-post. Some of the fencing appears similar to what was on W. Boulder St.

On 11/30/20, a Nederland officer was advised of a deer vs car accident on Hwy 119 in the 26000 block. The report said that the deer has a broken leg and needed to be put down. The deer had attempted to move several times, causing it to fall down the hill toward the reservoir into the drained portion of the lake. One shot was fired from Marshal Johns Glock model 23 dispatching the deer. City of Boulder Watershed personnel were advised of the deer’s status. An employee removed it from the dry portion of the reservoir.
