Nederland Police Reports - December 2025
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office had 301 calls for service in Nederland for the month of December. The calls for service included 2 animal complaints, 3 alarms, 2 suspicious activities, 18 fire/medical assists, 10 trespassing complaints, 12 welfare checks, 1 smoke report, 1 assault, 2 disturbances, 1 domestic violence, 4 harassments, 1 warrant arrest, 1 theft, 1 DUI, 1 drug violation, 1 missing person, 1 criminal trespass, and 1 weapons violation.
Included in the calls for service, deputies conducted approximately 342 traffic stops, responded to 3 assists, and 1 property damage accident. Not including the accidents, deputies issued approximately 245 citations and 25 written warnings.
At the request of one of the Trustees, the attached graph will show Time of Calls for Service. The time is represented using the 24-hour clock. If a time is not present, it means there were no calls for service in that hour for this month.

Warrant Arrest
A 44yo female contacted had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and taken to jail.
Trespass Affidavit
A 43yo male was issued a trespass affidavit to stay away from the Nederland Transfer Station for a year.
DUI / Accident
A 38yo female was found by a passerby standing in the middle of the highway wet and freezing. She intentionally drove her vehicle off the roadway into the reservoir. Boulder Watershed and Public Health were notified of the incident. It took about a week for BES, CSP, CDOT, and Nederland Fire to coordinate and recover the vehicle. The female sustained minor injuries and was arrested for DUI.
Violation of Mandatory PO / Harassment / False Imprisonment / DV
A 40yo female had a protection order on her 46yo husband from a previous DV. The male was following her around Nederland and blocked her in a friend’s driveway. He was arrested and transported to jail.
Disorderly Conduct
A manager called 911 stating a 38yo male was yelling at his employee, acting erratic, and harassing him. They did not want to press charges. The male was trespassed, and he took the bus out of Nederland.
Minor in Possession
An 18yo was caught by the principal smoking marijuana. They were issued a summons.
Harassment
A 38yo male stated an unknown male threatened him and threatened to stab a barking dog near the Ace Hardware store. No additional leads.
Reckless Driving
A male driver was stopped for speeding 43 MPH in a 25 MPH zone during icy, blowing snow conditions. The vehicle matched an earlier complaint for reckless driving at Eldora. The driver admitted to doing donuts and leaving Eldora at a high rate of speed. Summons issued for reckless driving, speeding 10–19 MPH, and Exceeded Safe Speed for Conditions.
Camping Violation
A male was cited residing in a camper van that he continually moves around town.

A female was contacted several times for camping and trespassing in town, she was cited and appears to have moved along.
Unattended Death
A 77yo male was found deceased by his roommate. Nothing suspicious.

Suspicious
A gray 2015 F250 drove down the driveway and 2 males walked around the house. The homeowner contacted them via camera, and they claimed the house was for lease. Extra patrols completed.
Restraining Order Violation
A vehicle was stopped for speeding; two males were contacted and found to have an active protection order between each other. The restrained party was arrested and transported to jail.
Hit and Run Accident
A 41yo male was parked on Jefferson Street in his work delivery truck. An unknown female in possibly a white Subaru Forester (or similar) with unknown plate, backed into, and caused minor damage to, the rear passenger side of his vehicle. More follow up to be completed.
Identity Theft
An 89yo female had two unauthorized financial transactions ($3,200.96) on her bank account. The suspect purchased two sets of airline tickets using an online platform.
Welfare Check
A female contacted the crisis hotline; she was having a panic attack and needed help. Deputies were contacted to complete a welfare check. She was taken to the hospital because she needed help.
