Nederland Police Reports, April 2026
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office had 195 calls for service in Nederland for the month of April. The calls for service included 4 alarms, 1 noise complaint, 2 thefts, 2 animal complaints, 11 medical calls, 7 fire assists, 1 grass fire, 2 harassments, 6 welfare checks, 1 criminal mischief, 3 frauds, 2 trespasses, 2 suspicious activities, 1 warrant arrest, and 1 weapons call.
Including the calls for service, deputies conducted approximately 170 traffic stops, responded to 4 assists, and 1 property damage accident. Not including the accidents, deputies issued approximately 117 citations and 4 written warnings.
At the request of one of the Trustees, the attached graph will show Time of Calls for Service. The time is represented using the 24-hour clock. If a time is not present, it means there were no calls for service in that hour for this month.
Calls of Note:
Property Damage
A vehicle turning left was side swiped by another vehicle trying to pass on the left. The vehicle that illegally passed was cited.
Fraud
A daughter had fraud concerns involving her 74yo mother. A company scammed her mother out of a large sum of money. Detectives will investigate further.
DUI
A 32yo male was stopped for driving without head or taillights. The driver was found to be under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. The driver was booked at the jail.
Arson
Porta-potties at Chipeta park burned to the ground around 0230 hours. Some leads are being investigated by the lead deputy, detectives, and the Ned Fire Marshal.
Felony Menacing
Boulder PD was investigating a menacing and found out another incident of a gun being pulled on someone occurred in Nederland. Further investigations with Boulder PD and BCSO detectives. One party was arrested and an arrest warrant is pending for a second party.
Protection Order Violation
A 32yo male was stopped for speeding. He had a 33yo female passenger who he is protected from and was in violation of the court order. The driver was jailed.
