Nederland Police Reports - 25-02
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office had 238 calls for service in Nederland for the month of February. The calls for service included 2 animal complaints, 1 alarm, 7 suspicious activity, 7 fire/medical assists, 2 harassments, 1 trespassing complaint, 2 welfare checks, 1 missing person, 1 narcotics violation, and 3 suicidal persons.
Included in the calls for service, deputies conducted approximately 250 traffic stops, responded to 8 assists and 2 property damage accidents. Not including the accidents, deputies issued approximately 186 citations and 18 written warnings.
At the request of one of the Trustees, the attached graph will show Time of Calls for Service. It is broken down into the 24 hour clock. If a time is not present, it means there were no calls for service in that hour for this month.

Protection Order Violation
A male was at Ned Elementary where he is restrained from, he was arrested at the library moments later. Booked and lodged at the jail.
911 Hang-up / Welfare Check
An 81 year old male called 911 multiple times. He was found to be ok, family was notified due to his medical condition. Co-Responder will assist the family with resources.
Criminal Mischief / Trespass
Chipita Park. A known male was found locked inside the maintenance storage closet. While inside, he allegedly caused damage to an oil heater, the deadbolt, and the locking mechanism. Charges did not want to be pressed, so a trespass affidavit was completed.
Reckless Driving
A male driver, driving a two year old Prius, was speeding, passed several vehicles over a double yellow line, utilized the shoulder of the road to overtake, weaving in and out of the lane, and following too closely. Summonsed for multiple traffic violations.
Lost Wallet
A 28 year old male lost his wallet somewhere in Nederland. Documented in case it is turned in.
Suspicious
St Rita's Church. Wide open door on the SW corner of the building. The door was likely left open by one of the kids in Sunday school. Then the wind blew it open and the door stop fell preventing it from closing. Contacted one of the employees, they responded to lock everything up.
Welfare Check
A father wanted his 52 year old daughter checked on due to her odd behavior. She denied medical treatment and refused to be seen by doctors.
Suspicious
A male went to a couple residences looking in windows and appeared to check on door cameras late at night. A dark SUV, Escalade or Expedition type vehicle may be associated with the male. Extra patrols requested as a few homeowners in the neighborhood will be out of town this upcoming week and weekend.
Careless Driving
A deputy stopped a vehicle for driving 94mph out of the can year old. The driver stated he was showing off his sports car to his passenger. Summonsed.
