On 6/25/21, a Nederland officer was dispatched to Ned’s Restaurant on a report of a male, who appeared intoxicated. He had just left Ned’s Restaurant driving a tan Toyota Tacoma with Nebraska license plates and was in the 1st Street area.
On 7/1/21, Nederland Police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle private impound by Boulder County Housing from 333 Highway 72.
On 7/1/21, Nederland Police assisted the Boulder County Sheriff’ Office and the Colorado State Patrol with an accident that happened just outside of town. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested by the Colorado State Patrol.
On 7/2/21, the Nederland Police Department investigated an issue between a customer and a local business. The business did not want the customer to return. The customer was trespassed from the business and instructed not to return.
On 7/2/21, Nederland Police took a report of several suspicious incidents within the town.
On 7/2/21, Nederland Police responded to a medical incident. The party was transported to the hospital and a report was completed.
On 7/3/21, Nederland Police got a report of a possible DUI. They were able to locate the suspect and make an arrest.
On 7/12/21, Nederland Police took a report of Domestic Violence perpetrated with a knife. The female suspect reportedly hit a male party in the head with her hand two times waking him, telling him to get out of the house. Female then grabbed and opened a pocket knife from desktop telling the male to get out. No one was injured, the female fled before officers could arrive.
On 7/5/21, Nederland Police took a report of a stolen vehicle. Owner reported his car stolen from East 1st Street. The driver parked it there at 4 p.m. and noticed it missing the following morning. The car was located and reported crashed at Caribou Road and Highway 72, in the ditch partially blocking Caribou Road. Deputies towed the car at 1:30 a.m. The car was three blocks from the owner’s residence. There is suspicion that the owner crashed it and reported it stolen.
On 7/9/21, Nederland Police investigated a disturbance in the Town of Nederland that resulted in Criminal Mischief and Theft charges of a male party.
On 7/9/21, Nederland Police took a report of a possible DUI heading westbound in Boulder Canyon. It was reported the vehicle was unable to maintain lanes and crashed into a delineator post approximately one mile outside of Nederland. The vehicle was a white Dodge Journey. Police located the vehicle on Shoshoni Way in Nederland.
On 7/15/21, Nederland officers investigated a vehicle with expired license plates parked in a handicap parkingspaceinfrontof5E1stStreet. After an investigation, it was found the owner of the vehicle had fictitious license plates, a canceled Colorado driver’s license, and the handicap placard belonged to another individual, not the driver. The driver was issued a Proof of Service and the license plates were confiscated.
On 7/14/21, Nederland Police received a report of a Dog at Large. The owner of the dog was contacted later and issued a summons.
On 7/20/21, Nederland Police responded to the area of E 2nd Street, on a report of a very intoxicated male in the area. Upon arrival in the area, officers contacted the male in the parking lot southwest of E 2nd Street and Snyder Street. The male was cooperative with officers on scene and taken into protective custody. He was then transported voluntarily to the Addiction Recovery Center in Boulder without incident where he was able to detoxify safely and receive resources.
On 7/22/21, a Nederland officer took a walk-in report in regards to a vehicle trespass and theft that occurred on Lower West 4th Street.
On 7/25/21, Nederland Police conducted a traffic stop in Nederland that resulted in a summons being issued to an 18-year-old male for Minor in Possession of Marijuana and Failing to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
On 7/26/21, Nederland Police towed an abandoned vehicle from Big Springs Drive and Highway 119. The vehicle was documented to have been there since at least 6/30/21, the owner was contacted numerous times to move it. It was tagged as abandoned on 7/18/21.
On 7/28/21, a Nederland officer responded to Brightwood Music located at 20 E Lakeview Drive, #109 and later Mountain Man Outdoor Store, 20 E Lakeview Drive, #111, in the Town of Nederland, County of Boulder and State of Colorado on reports of thefts or various retail items. Party was later located and charged.
On 7/30/21, Nederland Police investigated a criminal mischief to a vehicle reported by the owner who believed the damage occurred while parked in Nederland. No suspect information is known. There was no way to establish a timeline to confirm if the damage was there previously to the owner observing it while in Nederland.
