Deb D’Andrea, Nederland. Now that I have returned after being away for four months because of a family emergency, I am writing to update the community as to the status of our Nederland Old Fashioned July 4th finances.

We have raised $9,929.40 of the $25,000, leaving about $16,000 to be raised by July 4th, 2015.

We have hired Tri-State Fireworks to present the Fireworks display, which will be preceded by an evening of music headlined by Big Little, featuring members of Taarka and Elephant Revival! During the day, the Nederland Fire Protection District will be holding their annual Fourth of July “Barrel Wars”; the Human Foosball court will be in full swing; and there will be old-fashioned goofy fun activities for all to enjoy.

You may be asking, “How can I help?“ There are many ways!

There are several opportunities for you to be a Nederland Old Fashioned July 4th Fireworks & Festival Sponsor, beginning with the one and only Finale Sponsorship for $10,000! Other levels include the GoGetters at $5,000, the Girandola at $2,500, the Rocket at $1,000, and the Salute at $500. If you know of a company who’d love to be involved, send them my way!

Be a Vendor!

If you would like to have a booth on the field during the Nederland Old Fashioned July 4th Fireworks & Festival, we’d love to have you join us! This year we are offering one 10x10 booth space for $100 where you can offer your services, merchandise, or food. If offering food, you will be required to meet all Boulder County requirements and space is limited.

Throw a fundraiser

We are looking at various ways to raise money. If you have an idea for a fundraiser and would like to organize it, let us know and we’ll help. There are several fun ways to raise funds, from small personal events to larger venues. You can do it all!

Be a Volunteer!

We would love to have you join us, and, if you’d like, bring your creative ideas for a fun event you’d like to run during July 4th.  Let’s make it happen and make this the beginning of new traditions here in Nederland.

Participate in the Parade

Join in the Nederland Old Fashioned July 4th Fireworks & Festival Parade which kicks off the day’s festivities. Bring out your craziest July 4th outfits, your favorite bicycles or hot rod, or even create a Nederland Old Fashioned July 4th Fireworks & Festival float!
