Ann Marie Morgan, Nederland. Nederland Lions Club is proud to announce that Lions Roy and Rose True have been named Melvin Jones Fellows by the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF). Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the Fellowship is one of the Foundation’s highest recognitions, honoring commitment to humanitarian service.
Together, Roy and Rose have served as Lions for over 65 years (Roy for 35 years, and Rose for 31 years), and were key in keeping the Nederland Lions Club a vital organization in our community during that time. While the Trues now reside in Walsenburg, they still actively participate in local club activities such as the annual Nederland Health Fair, as well as serve others in their current community.
Nederland Lions presented Roy and Rose True with Melvin Jones Fellowship commemorative plaques and lapel pins at a recent meeting. Congratulations to you both for your many years of dedicated service!
