Madi Brewer became a Nederland Panther as a preschooler. She attended Nederland schools at every grade level and is now ready to graduate from Nederland High School in a few weeks.

While at Nederland Elementary Madi fondly remembers Winter Adventure Days and outdoor adventure trips. In those years students had outdoor field trips to the YMCA, Cheley and Calwood. Lots of amazing memories were made on these outdoor education adventures.

While in high school Madi participated with the theater tech department and student council as a freshman. As a sophomore she played soccer for the Panthers. Hockey is also Madi’s sport. During her freshman, sophomore and junior years Madi played hockey for the Lady Rough Riders Hockey team out of Superior. Since there are few female teams at this level in Colorado many of their games are played out of state in tournaments against other state teams. Madi played center for the Lady Rough Riders and loved this position because it let her balance her defense and forward skills. Her favorite part of the sport is the camaraderie with the other players and the speed of the game.

Madi also had a wonderful opportunity to travel to Switzerland and Germany for a Global Leadership Summit through the school the summer before her sophomore year. What an amazing learning and cultural experience!

At Nederland High School Madi enjoyed the math and science classes the most and when asked what teachers had a positive influence on her high school years she replied that Mr. Real, Mr. Geels and Ms. Strong did the most.

Madi has appreciated the academic opportunities at Nederland High School and the small class sizes. She has also loved the friendships she has made throughout the years.

After high school Madi plans on attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Congratulations on your graduation from Nederland High School Madi! Best of luck in all you do in the future.
