Barbara Lawlor, Nederland. October 1, 2015. The Nederland volleyball team is working hard to come up with a win since its victory in the season opener tournament at Gilpin High School. Their play improves with every game but they are having trouble taking the lead and hanging onto it. They now have a 1-9 record.
Last Monday, Sept. 21, the Panthers hosted the Highland Huskies and lost in three games: 12-25, 8-25, 16-25.
Katie Jewell and Hanna Woods made the attacks and the blocks and digs, in on the action both defensively and offensively.

Katie Jewell: 1 kill, 7 attacks, 6 serves, 1 block, 7 digs, 5 serves received
Karen Sorokach: 4 attacks1 serve
Chloe Lindstrom: 1 attack, 2 serves, 9 digs, 15 serves received
Hanna Woods: 1 kill, 5 attacks, 2 aces, 8 serves, 1 block, 6 digs, 5 serves received
Tobiah Nagle: 2 kills, 6 attacks, 2 serves
Addie Jacoby: 1 kill, 8 attacks, 2 aces, 5 serves, 3 digs
Sofie Anderson: 2 serves, 2 serves received

On Thursday, Sept. 24, Nederland played the Alexander Dawson Mustangs away and were defeated 0-3: 21-25, 22-25, 14-25. Karen Sorokach plays aggressively and has a strong serve as well as being a stopper at the net. Tobiah Nagle was named the Player of the Game.
