Stephanie Andelman, Nederland. Taking the ice. This past Saturday, the NedRINK hosted our town’s first-ever all girls hockey game. Nederland Youth Hockey Association (NYHA) registered 25 girls for the season, ages 5-12 years old. Volunteers organize, manage, and coach all of these girls who show up for weekly practices. When the under 8 Ned girls played against Boulder, there were smiles and stumbles, all in the spirit of skating. In true mountain fashion, the cold and wind didn’t stop them from having a fun time representing our hardcore town.
