Nederland Elementary Preschool and the Preschool Enrichment program at Nederland Elementary celebrated their students on May 16. 29 preschoolers participated in the event; 22 of them will be moving on to kindergarten next year.
It was a breezy day when these young students were congratulated on their accomplishments. The ribbon decorations danced in the breeze and many graduation hats blew off in the wind.
Lead teachers Jessa Meyers (Preschool Enrichment) and Emily Barth (Nederland Elementary Preschool) spoke about the special program they have as they collaborate and work together to support each other and the students. They both became emotional as they reflected on the progress and accomplishments of the school year.
There were many parents/caregivers, grandparents, siblings, family, and friends at the event to celebrate with the students.
The students sang “On My Way,” and each preschooler was given a certificate. Cookies and lemonade were then served. It was a fun and beautiful way to celebrate the school year.
The Nederland Elementary Preschool staff includes Emily Barth, Debbie Garrison, Tanja Dewart, and Ali Michaels. The Preschool Enrichment staff consists of Jessa Meyers, Heather Jackson, and Emma Chibli.
Congratulations, preschoolers and teachers!
