Reading and hockey . .. you might not think they go together but the Nederland Community Library proved it to be quite the barn burner! The Nederland Community Library, in partnership with the Nederland Community Library Foundation, launched a Winter Reading Program to keep youth reading and engaged over the Winter holiday. The program was open for 5 to 18 year olds, with the grand, raffle prizes being tickets to a 2022 Avalanche game. Other prize choices, in support of our local businesses, included gift certificates to Salto, Nature’s Own Rock Shop, and the Backdoor Theatre (which generously donated movie tickets). Participants needed to read and submit at least two book reviews to be eligible for the tickets.

A huge congratulations to our fabulous ticket winners! We hope you enjoyed your reading and your prizes!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of our Winter Reading Program and stay tuned for our Spring Break FAMILY reading program, coming in March 2022. We would also like to give a special thank you to the NCL Foundation for their support in allowing us to have such fantastic prizes.
